4/21/2025 You can direct your mindOne of my clients used to struggle a lot with anxiety.
Now, she has less anxiety and she knows how to manage the anxiety she does have. And she’s on the path to becoming someone who doesn’t identify with anxiety anymore. There are a lot of prescriptions, apps, and meditations out there. But the real secret to stopping anxiety is learning how to manage your mind 🧠 You can actually do that. You can manage your brain instead of your brain managing you. Because when you have anxiety, your brain is running around like a toddler unsupervised—making noise, jumping to conclusions, imagining everything that could go wrong. It needs supervision. It needs guidance. It needs someone to say, “No, we’re not going there. This is where we’re going instead.” That someone is you. Your brain will always want to take you to the worst-case scenario. It thinks it’s protecting you. But when you learn how to manage your mind, you can gently but firmly direct your brain away from all the terrible things that might happen… and into the present moment. What is happening now. What is working. What is in your control. And from an Islamic lens—this matters even more. Because living in constant fear of what might go wrong is not the way of tawakkul. Yes, we prepare. Yes, we plan. But we trust in the One who has always been in control. We know Allah is the best of planners. And we remind our minds that He is enough for us. You’re not meant to live trapped in fear. You’re meant to lead your mind—with faith, wisdom, and calm. If you want help doing that, I’d love to support you.
