9/24/2025 Why affirmation don't always workWhy affirmations don’t always work
Have you ever repeated an affirmation or stuck Post-its on your mirror 🪞 —only to feel like nothing really changed? Here’s why ⤵️ When a negative belief is still sitting in your mind, simply repeating a positive statement doesn’t erase it. At best, you’re trying to cover it up. But like an overstuffed suitcase 🧳 that limiting belief will eventually burst out. 🔑 The real work starts with uncovering the hidden thought error: • What is the actual belief running in the background? • What’s the story you’ve been telling yourself that you may not even be conscious of? Once you can bring it to the surface and disprove it, your brain can finally release it. Then—and only then—does a new affirmation become powerful. Because now it’s not a mask, it’s a foundation built on clarity. 🚀 ✨ From an Islamic perspective: Allah (SWT) tells us in the Qur’an: “Falsehood is bound to vanish.” (Qur’an 17:81) When you expose the lie your mind has been believing, it loses its power. Only then can the truth settle in—and truth always stands firm. 💡 If you’ve tried affirmations but they haven’t worked, it’s not because something’s wrong with you. It’s because the hidden belief hasn’t been uncovered yet. That’s exactly the work I help Muslim women with—finding the thought errors that hold you back, dissolving them, and building new beliefs that actually last.
