9/23/2025 When you're close to hitting a goalHave you ever noticed that when you’re really close to a goal, fear can suddenly show up in your body?
You’ve done the work. Things are in place. If all goes well, you’ll hit it. And that’s when your brain whispers: ❌ “What if I get this close and it doesn’t happen?” For some, this shows up as anxiety. For others, it feels like a heavy foreboding. Either way—it’s your brain 🧠 trying to protect you. Your brain’s ultimate fear is that if you don’t hit the goal, you won’t be able to handle the wave of disappointment, shame, or sadness that follows. But you can pause. You can notice the fear in your body. And you can gently reassure your brain: ✨ “Even if it doesn’t happen this time, I can try again. I’m not giving up.” That simple reminder releases the grip of fear because it proves—you can handle whatever comes. From an Islamic perspective, this is tawakkul. We tie our camel, we put in the effort, and then we trust that the outcome is in Allah’s Hands. Our job is to keep showing up, the results belong to Allah. So if the fear shows up—remember: it doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means you’re close. 🤍 And if you want to learn how to navigate those moments with calm, clarity, and trust in Allah, let’s talk about your goals and what’s getting in the way.
