5/24/2025 When advice isn't enoughWhen you’re halfway through undergrad and still not sure what path to pursue… it can feel paralyzing.
One of my clients is in that exact season of life. She came to me overwhelmed, unsure, and stuck between her own uncertainty and her mom’s pressure to choose a certain direction. I remember being in that exact place myself. Except I didn’t know coaching existed back then. I didn’t have a space to process, weigh options, or think about what I truly wanted for my future. Now, I get to be that space for her—and I honestly feel grateful to do so. At one point, she told me, “I talk to my friends about this stuff all the time, but I never get anywhere. And now just after a few sessions, I feel so clear. I’m surprised!” So I asked, “Who are your friends?” She said, “Girls my age, all in the same position.” And I smiled and said, “Ahh—so it’s the blind leading the blind.” We both laughed, and she said, “That’s so true!” I told her, “That’s the difference. Coaching is working with someone experienced—someone who can actually guide you forward and help you think in a way that gets you unstuck.” We laid out all the options. I connected her with professionals from each field in my network so she could hear firsthand what a typical Tuesday looks like in each career. Because that’s what it really comes down to—not just the title, but the lifestyle. What kind of life do you want to live, day by day? That question helped us narrow it down. Now we’re in action mode: 📌 Choosing the right courses for next semester 📌 Identifying which professors to connect with for recommendation letters 📌 Researching internships and shadowing opportunities 📌 Building a network within the field she’s chosen And with weekly coaching, she stays in belief and aligned with her vision—because the brain will throw doubts, fears, and what-ifs when you try to move forward. We manage all of it inside this container so she doesn’t fall off track. In our free consultation, she asked me, “How is this different from therapy?” I told her: Therapy helps you heal from the past. Coaching is about creating your future. And she gets it now. That’s exactly what she needs at this stage of life. 💛 When you ask Allah (SWT) for clarity, it’s not always a lightning bolt ⚡️ answer. Sometimes it’s through deep thought, strategic planning, taking steps—and seeing where your heart settles. “…And consult them in matters. Then when you have taken a decision, put your trust in Allah.” (Qur’an 3:159) If you—or someone you know—are in a season of confusion and indecision about the future, let’s do a free consultation to see if coaching is the support you need.
