The root of the problem

It’s not easy. But it’s necessary.

When you want to live your purpose, you can’t just keep pushing through on the surface.
You have to uncover the doubts, blockages, fears, and truths — the ones right in front of you and the ones buried so deep you don’t even realize they’re steering the ship.

It’s like going to a chiropractor.
Your back might hurt, so you rub it, stretch it, maybe take a painkiller — but the real cause might be a vertebra out of alignment.
Until that’s addressed, the pain will keep coming back.

Our doubts and fears are the same.
They show up as symptoms:
• Procrastination → root: fear of failure or success.
• People-pleasing → root: fear of rejection or low self-worth.
• Quitting on yourself → root: loss of self-trust.
• Overthinking decisions → root: fear of making the wrong choice and being responsible for it.
• Never starting → root: fear of discomfort and the unknown.

One of my clients messaged me yesterday:

“You have been so helpful because I had so many onion layers to get to the root of some of these blockages! Uncovering so many truths, fears, doubts, was not easy but it was so necessary for my growth!”

For her, so much of this came from how she grew up — lessons, messages, and patterns absorbed early in life that shaped how she saw herself.
The “symptoms” were in her adult life, but the roots were decades old.

In our tradition, we see this in the way the Prophet ﷺ approached change — not by forcing people to act differently on the surface, but by transforming hearts first.
When the heart is aligned, the actions naturally follow.
That’s why he said: “Indeed, in the body there is a piece of flesh; if it is sound, the whole body is sound. And if it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. Indeed, it is the heart.” (Bukhari & Muslim)

The root work is the heart work.
It’s not always comfortable — but it’s how you remove the real blockages and step fully into the mission Allah created you for.

If you’re ready to stop just “managing” your struggles and actually resolve them at the root, I’m offering a free consultation.
We’ll uncover what’s really holding you back and map out how to move forward — with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
