11/2/2025 Rejection because of HijabWhen doors 🚪 close in your face because of your hijab…
Recently, a Muslim woman shared that after deciding to wear hijab in her interviews, she went from consistently reaching final rounds to not making it past the first. It’s disheartening — not just because of the lost opportunities, but because it’s a painful reminder that bias still exists even when your talent, skills, and work ethic haven’t changed one bit. But here’s what I want to say to every Muslim woman who’s been in that position: Keep wearing your hijab. 🧕🏽 Keep showing up with your values intact. And at the same time — be intentional about where you apply your brilliance. Seek out workplaces that align with who you are and what you stand for. Or better yet, forge your own path — one where you set the tone. Because when a company closes its doors on you because of your hijab — that’s not rejection. That’s a filter. A way for you not to waste your time, energy, or talent in a place that doesn’t deserve them. If you’re in a season of figuring out what those intentional next steps look like — whether it’s a career change, building something of your own, or aligning your work with your purpose — that’s exactly what we do inside The Purpose Program. It’s designed to help Muslim women get clear on their mission in this world, shaped by their strengths, values, and faith — and then take confident action toward it. 💫 Doors to the program are open now. Let’s make sure the next door you walk through is one you actually want to walk through. 🗓️ The deadline to schedule your free consultation for my Purpose Program is November 17 — so you can step into the new year with direction, clarity and purpose.
