3/16/2025 Ramadan Day 16: The Power of PerspectiveIn Surah Al-Kahf, we witness a profound encounter between Prophet Musa (AS) and Khidr —a meeting that holds deep lessons in humility and perspective.
Despite being a strong, knowledgeable and a Prophet of Allah, Musa (AS) didn’t hesitate to humble himself as a student. He sought to learn from Khidr, knowing there was wisdom he hadn’t yet grasped. And as Khidr carried out actions that seemed unjust or harmful, Musa (AS) couldn’t help but speak up. His perspective was limited to what he could see and understand in that moment. But when the unseen wisdom behind those actions was revealed, the lesson became clear: sometimes, what we perceive as a problem is actually a protection. Sometimes, the wisdom is there, but hidden—beyond our current understanding. This story is a powerful reminder. There are moments in life when we struggle to make sense of our challenges. We see only what’s in front of us and wonder why things feel stuck or uncertain. But just like Musa (AS) needed Khidr to guide him through what he couldn’t yet see, sometimes we need someone to help us uncover what’s beneath the surface of our own thoughts and patterns. That’s what coaching offers—a space to explore, question, and see what you might not be able to on your own. It’s about uncovering the perspective that can shift everything.
