3/12/2025 Ramadan Day 12: The Power of ResilienceIn Surah Yusuf we witness a story of unimaginable trials.
Yusuf (AS) was betrayed by his own brothers, sold into slavery, falsely accused, and thrown into prison. Yet, through every moment of injustice and heartbreak, he held onto patience, faith, and resilience. But here’s the part that’s easy to overlook—Yusuf (AS) wasn’t just waiting for his life to change. He was preparing for it. In the darkness of the well, in the confines of prison, he was developing the strength, character, and wisdom that would later allow him to lead a nation. He didn’t let his circumstances define him—he let them refine him. And maybe that’s the lesson for you and me. Because it’s easy to feel stuck when life isn’t going the way we hoped? To think, “Once this phase is over, then I’ll figure it out.” Or, “Once things calm down, then I’ll start working on myself.” But what if this phase is the preparation? What if the challenge you’re facing isn’t just an obstacle, but the very thing that will build the strength and clarity you need for your next chapter? One of my clients was trapped in a mental prison. Her anxiety and low confidence held her back, keeping her stuck in a toxic job that drained her and kept her playing small and thinking small. She dreamed of more but felt like she couldn’t escape. Through our work together, she broke free from that mindset. She quit her toxic job and began her journey toward a new career path—one aligned with her values and aspirations. With her newfound clarity and confidence, she didn’t just change jobs—she reclaimed her life. She didn’t wait for her circumstances to change. She changed her inner world first, and the rest followed. If you’re feeling stuck, what if this is the moment to start preparing for the life you want? Not by waiting for the circumstances to change—but by building the resilience, skills, and mindset that will carry you forward to change them. And you don’t have to figure it out alone. If you’ve been thinking about change but don’t know where to start, I invite you to a free consultation. Let’s explore what’s holding you back and how you can start preparing for what’s next.
