2/8/2026 Purpose is about who you areThere’s a powerful hadith that I think about all the time when it comes to purpose.
The Prophet ﷺ said: “If the Hour (the Day of Judgment) is about to be established and one of you has a seedling in his hand, then if he can plant it before the Hour is established, let him plant it.” Even if the world is ending you still plant the seed. Why? Because purpose is not about guaranteed outcomes. It’s about who you choose to be in alignment with your true self. Your brain will constantly ask: “Is this worth it?” “What if it takes too long?” “What if it doesn’t work?” And you have to answer back with: I do it because it’s who I am. Not because of when it will pay off. When you’re living in alignment with your purpose: • One year doesn’t feel like “too long” • Five years doesn’t feel like a “waste” • Effort doesn’t feel heavy Because you’re not chasing validation. You’re honoring your values. Once you reach the point you were working toward, you will be so fulfilled, so grounded, so glad you didn’t quit that the time it took won’t even matter. Living out of alignment costs way more than time. It costs peace. It costs self-trust. It costs energy. Your job isn’t to control the outcome. Your job is to keep planting the seed. If you feel like you know there’s more you’re meant for, but your brain keeps delaying, doubting, or distracting you, this is exactly the work I help with.
