5/16/2026 ProcrastinationPeople think procrastination means you’re lazy.
Undisciplined. Unmotivated. But procrastination is information. It’s your brain signaling that something deeper needs attention. The real work isn’t forcing yourself to just do it. The real work is uncovering WHY you don’t want to do it. Sometimes the reason is: ➡️ You don’t actually like the product you’re trying to sell, so posting about it feels heavy and fake. ➡️ You’re scared to launch the business because if it doesn’t work, you’ll have to face disappointment. ➡️ You keep delaying applying for the job because deep down you don’t even want that career path anymore. ➡️ You procrastinate creating content because you’re afraid people will judge you. ➡️ You avoid finishing the project because once it’s done, people can evaluate it. ➡️ You say you want to be healthier but secretly associate healthy habits with restriction and misery. ➡️ You delay having an important conversation because you’re trying to avoid discomfort, rejection, or conflict. ➡️ You keep researching and planning because taking action would make the dream real and vulnerable. Your procrastination is usually being fueled by a thought and an emotion. Not by a lack of capability. Buffering is using distractions, scrolling, overplanning, overeating, or busy work to avoid uncomfortable emotions. And its important to pay attention to the thoughts which are simply sentences happening in your brain instead of labeling yourself as someone who procrastinates. Because once you uncover the actual fear, belief, or resistance underneath the procrastination you can finally solve the real problem. Not just fight yourself every day. A lot of people don’t need more discipline. They need more honesty with themselves.
