Just like ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Dākhil—the last surviving member of the Umayyad dynasty who fled the fall of his family’s rule, swam to Spain, and laid the foundation for Al-Andalus—a state of stunning scholarship and justice that lasted 850 years and was the most powerful and advanced society in the world.

He had nothing. He rebuilt everything.

We show up.
We transform.
We lead ourselves.
Because the most powerful act of resistance is becoming who Allah created us to be.
