“Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.”
(Surah Ar-Ra’d, 13:11) Change is a word we hear often—changing habits, changing circumstances, changing outcomes. But this ayah reminds us that real change doesn’t start with the world around us. It starts within. The shift begins in the quiet places: • In the thoughts we allow to take root. • In the beliefs we carry about ourselves and what’s possible. • In the choices we make when no one is watching. But this is also the hardest work. The brain 🧠 doesn’t like to be confronted. It doesn’t want to be challenged. It prefers comfort and ease, to stay where it’s safe and spend less energy. But all that does is keep us small—circling the same thoughts, stuck in the same patterns, never meeting the potential Allah has placed within us. This Ramadan, as we reflect and seek closeness to Allah, it’s worth asking: ✨ What is one inner change I’ve been avoiding that could open the door to the next chapter of my life? Reflection can be powerful, but it’s not easy to see ourselves clearly. If you’d like a space to explore this, I offer free consultations to give you an outside perspective to see what’s keeping you stuck. Email me if you’d like to book a time.
