As we witness Palestine’s continued steps toward freedom, we pray that full liberation will come soon, insha’Allah. This moment in history is a powerful reminder for all of us to reflect on our own lives and ask:
• What is holding me back? • How can I liberate myself from what’s keeping me stuck? • What could I create, achieve, or become if I truly freed myself? Whether it’s fear, self-doubt, unhealthy habits, or external expectations, we all face internal struggles that keep us from reaching our full potential. But just as Palestine teaches us resilience, courage, and faith, we too can take steps toward our own personal liberation. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: “When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity), knowledge which is beneficial, or a righteous child who prays for him.” This Hadith teaches us that true freedom comes from living a life of purpose—one that leaves behind a legacy of goodness, impact, and liberation for ourselves and others. The key is to free ourselves from distractions and negativity so we can focus on what truly matters. So today, take a moment to reflect: • What’s one step I can take to free myself from what’s holding me back? • How can I embody the strength and perseverance we see in those fighting for freedom? When we align our actions with tawakkul (trust in Allah) and sincere effort, we not only transform our lives but also honor the lessons we learn from the struggles around us.
