6/6/2026 It's not going to workHave you ever been pursuing a goal, a dream, or a purpose you deeply care about, only to hit a challenge and immediately think:
“Uh oh. It’s not working.” “This must mean I’m on the wrong path.” “This will never happen for me.” That reaction is so normal. Our brains often interpret obstacles as evidence that something has gone wrong. But in fact the obstacle is actually evidence that you’re exactly on the right path. Every meaningful journey has phases. At first, it feels exciting. Then it gets hard. Then your brain starts questioning everything. Then you wonder if it’s working at all. The mistake is thinking that the difficult phase means you’ve failed. Instead you can direct your brain to see it as: “Oh, here it is. I expected this.” “Everyone who accomplishes something meaningful goes through this.” “Looks like I’m right on schedule.” This reminds me of a powerful ayah in the Quran. During a time of immense hardship, when the believers saw the enemy alliance approaching, they didn’t interpret it as proof that Allah had abandoned them. They said: “This is what Allah and His Messenger had promised us. The promise of Allah and His Messenger has come true.” And it only increased them in faith and submission. (Quran 33:22) (Quran.com) What an incredible perspective. The hardship arrived, and instead of saying, “Something has gone wrong,” they said, “This is exactly what we were told would happen.” Challenges aren’t signs that your dream isn’t working, they’re signs that you’re in the middle of creating it. The next time your brain offers: “It’s not working.” Try offering: “Ah, here it is.” “This is part of the journey.” “I expected challenges.” “I’m still on track.” Because the obstacle isn’t evidence that you’ve taken a wrong turn. It’s evidence that you’re moving forward ➡️ If you’re feeling stuck, questioning your direction, or trying to figure out your next step with more confidence and self-trust, Email [email protected] to book your free consultation call.
