"I need to think about it"

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said, “Wisdom is the lost property of the believer. Wherever he finds it, he has a right to it.” Being decisive and wise in our choices stems from seeking knowledge, understanding ourselves, and trusting the guidance Allah has given us.

Recently, I worked with a client who struggled with indecision, often saying, “I need to think about it.” Together, we uncovered that her hesitation wasn’t about needing more time—it was rooted in a lack of self-trust. She wasn’t sure of her priorities or confident in her ability to choose wisely, so delaying decisions felt safer.
