2/15/2026 Holding Yourself BackIf you know what you want to do but you find you’re holding yourself back
You’re aware of it but you don’t know why you’re holding yourself back you know exactly what you want and still not moving forward You’re aware. And yet you’re still stuck. This usually isn’t about motivation or discipline. It’s about avoiding an emotion. There’s an emotion your brain calculated could come up if you go for it and you’re brain is unwilling to feel it because it identifies it as something it can’t handle. So your brain says: • “Wait until you feel more confident.” • “Let’s just think about this a little longer.” • “Now isn’t the right time.” Not because it’s logical but because it’s trying to protect you from discomfort. You’re not stuck because you can’t move forward. You’re stuck because you don’t want to feel what comes next. Fear. Exposure. Possible failure. Uncertainty. Awareness alone doesn’t create movement. Willingness to feel does. We’re taught to take action while trusting Allah, not after certainty magically appears. Tawakkul isn’t waiting until fear disappears. It’s moving with fear while relying on Allah, not your comfort. If you’re aware of what’s holding you back and still stuck, that’s not a personal flaw. It’s just a sign that your nervous system and your goals aren’t aligned yet. That’s the work coaching helps with. If this resonated and you’re ready to stop overthinking and start moving I offer free consultations where we unpack what’s really keeping you stuck and how to move forward on purpose.
