12/6/2025 Getting laid offA lot of people are getting laid off right now.
And the emotions I keep hearing are the same: “I feel embarrassed.” “I’m shocked.” “It almost feels like grieving.” “I’ve spent my whole life in support roles… solving everyone else’s problems… and now I’m burnt out.” “I want work I love. A direction I feel confident in.” “I’ve been wanting a change anyway… maybe this is the nudge I needed.” If this is you too I want you to hear this: This moment does not define your talent or your skills. Circumstances don’t create your reality—your thoughts about them do. And getting laid off is one of those moments where your brain will want to go to the darkest interpretation possible. But what if this isn’t a “failure”? What if it’s Allah’s protection, the way so many describe it? What if He removed you before it could consume you? What if this isn’t the end of your direction but the beginning of the one you’ve been secretly craving? When life knocks you off your feet, your job is to get out of your confused brain and into clean thinking-- the thinking that opens new doors instead of replaying the old ones. Because confusion keeps you stuck. Clarity moves you forward. And clarity is a skill. It is coachable. If you’re feeling: ✔️ Burnt out ✔️ Questioning your purpose ✔️ Unsure what’s next ✔️ Tired of chaotic roles where you’re expected to fix everything ✔️ Ready for work you actually love ✔️ Or scared that layoffs might hit you next You don’t have to figure that out alone. I’m offering free consultations all of December. We’ll talk through your emotions, your direction, your options-- and help you get back into that grounded, confident place where you can decide your next move. You are not broken. You are being redirected. And Allah does not close one door without already opening another one for you.
