6/16/2026 FOMOFOMO is exhausting.
Not because you can’t have the thing. But because you keep thinking about it. You want to take the trip ✈️ You want to start the business. You want to join the program. You want to apply for the job. You want to make the move. But instead of making a decision, your brain offers: “What if I waste the money?” “What if it’s not as good as I think?” “What if I fail?” “What if people judge me?” So you stay where you are. And then you watch other people doing the thing you wish you were doing. You see people creating the life you imagined for yourself. And suddenly FOMO turns into frustration, envy, disappointment and self-doubt. Indecision is a decision. When you don’t choose, you’re still choosing. You’re choosing to stay exactly where you are. Our brains will always offer reasons not to invest, not to act, and not to take risks. The brain’s job is safety, not growth. So when you feel FOMO, get curious. What exactly am I afraid of? Am I afraid to spend the money? Why? Am I afraid it won’t meet my expectations? There’s only one way to find out. Am I afraid I’ll fail? Then perhaps that’s the very area where growth is waiting for me. Carrying an open loop in your mind is more draining than taking action. You keep revisiting the same desire. The same dream. The same possibility. Day after day. Year after year. If you want something and it’s aligned with your values, make a decision. Either do it. Or consciously decide not to do it. But stop living in the torture of maybe. What are you experiencing FOMO about right now? And what would happen if you finally did something about it? If you’re tired of feeling stuck between where you are and where you want to be, I’d love to help. Email [email protected] to book your free consultation call. Comments are closed.
