3/20/2026 EidToday is Eid. A day that is meant to be filled with joy, prayer, and gratitude.
And yet, it is heavy. At Al-Aqsa Mosque, Muslims are being prevented from gathering to mark the end of Ramadan. A place that should be filled stands restricted. Across the region, tensions escalate and countless lives continue to be shaped, disrupted, and lost in the wake of a long-standing settler colonial reality. It’s impossible not to feel the weight of it. So what does Eid mean in a moment like this? It means we hold two truths at once. We acknowledge, with deep gratitude the blessings we have and we refuse to become numb. Ramadan wasn’t just about fasting from food. It was about discipline. It was about worship with presence. It was about reconnecting to who we are and who we are meant to be. Eid is not the end of that transformation. It’s the beginning of living it. We don’t just make du‘a for a better world, we become people who contribute to it. We carry forward: • The discipline we built • The softness in our hearts • The awareness of what truly matters • The responsibility to live with purpose Because faith is not only something we feel in worship. It is something we express in how we live, lead, serve and show up. This Eid, as yourself: who are you becoming? Comments are closed.
