3/22/2026 Don't slow down your progressYou start looking at other people who have what you want and instead of simply seeing it’s possible for you because it was for them, your brain goes:
“Why is it working for them and not for me?” “Why is it easier for them?” “What am I missing?” It feels like curiosity but it’s actually comparison. And not the kind that moves you forward, the kind that quietly drains you. Imagine you’re driving from New York to California. You know the direction: west. Along the way, you see other people on the same journey. Some are driving faster. Some seem like they’ll get there way before you. But: You keep pulling over. You get distracted. You take long pit stops. You second-guess your route. And then you look up and say, “Why are they getting there faster than me?” “What if I never make it to California?” It’s not that you can’t get there. It’s that you’re not consistently going west. This is exactly how goals work. Your brain will offer you thoughts like: “Maybe it’s not meant for me.” “Other people can do it, but not me.” But your job is not to evaluate how fast it’s happening, your job is to keep going in the direction of your goal. Every time you stop to compare, you pause your own progress. Every time you question if it’s “working for you,” you step out of the result you’re trying to create. What if instead you decided: “I don’t need to understand their timeline. I just need to stay on mine.” Because if you keep going west you will reach California. If this is the work you’re ready to do, managing your mind, staying in belief, and actually following through on your goals, I invite you to book a free consultation with me. We’ll get you back on your route and keep you moving. Email [email protected] to book your free consultation call. Comments are closed.
