7/22/2025 Don't just coastMost of us were never taught how to figure out what we actually want to do with our lives.
And yet, knowing our purpose isn’t just a “nice to have” — it’s a need. Imam Al-Ghazali categorized human needs 850 years before Maslow’s pyramid that we all learn in psychology class. Al Ghazali’s needs were described as a progression with the Islamic spiritual element, Maslow simply removed the religious perspective and turned it into a pyramid, other than that it’s exactly the same. Al-Ghazali described human needs as a progression of the soul — from survival and safety all the way to living a life of deep meaning and purpose in service of Allah (SWT). Purpose isn’t some type of luxury. It’s part of our fitrah (God given instinct). When we’re stuck in unfulfilling work or going through life on autopilot, it’s no surprise we feel restless. Because our soul was created for more. I made a short video explaining this — why you feel stuck, why clarity feels so far away, and how to start figuring it out. 📹 If you want the free video, DM me your email. And if you’re ready to take action, I designed a 30-day program to help you get clear on what you want and how to move toward it — with a plan rooted in Islamic values. Email me to book a free 1:1 consultation. We’ll talk about where you are, where you want to go, and whether this program is the right fit. [email protected] Let’s stop coasting through life and start living with intention. Comments are closed.
