2/5/2025 Do You Trust Yourself? For many people, the answer is no. And it’s not because they’re incapable—it’s because life moves so fast. Between juggling responsibilities and checking off the next thing on our to-do lists, we often forget to check in with ourselves.
But here’s the thing: trusting yourself is just like building trust with others. It requires effort and consistency. ✨ Get to know yourself deeply: Understand your emotions, values, and what truly matters to you. ✨ Follow through on promises to yourself: Be the kind of person you can count on. ✨ Have your own back: Prioritize your well-being and treat yourself with compassion. When we don’t do these things, it leads to self-doubt, indecision, and a lack of confidence. We stop believing in our ability to handle life’s challenges. How can you rebuild that trust? Start small: 💧 If you say you’ll drink more water tomorrow—do it. 👟 If you promise to work out—follow through. 📞 If you plan to see that friend you’ve been missing—make it happen. These little promises may seem minor, but they give big returns when it comes to trusting yourself. In Islam, we are taught to be trustworthy stewards of all Allah (SWT) has entrusted to us—including our own selves. When you honor the commitments you make to yourself, you embody that value and strengthen your trust in yourself as a capable, reliable person.
