3/1/2026 DisciplineOne of my clients had a very important deadline tied directly to her bigger purpose and long-term goals.
On that same day there was a fun gathering she really wanted to go to. Nothing was wrong with the gathering. Nothing was bad about wanting to be there. But the deadline was today. So we coached on discipline. Not motivation. Not inspiration. Discipline. I reminded her: There will be other gatherings. There will not be another chance at this specific opportunity if the work doesn’t get done. Discipline is not a positive experience. It doesn’t feel fun. It doesn’t feel light. It often feels like saying no to something you really want in the moment. Discipline is simply doing what you said you would do even when you don’t feel like it. Especially when you don’t feel like it. Purpose doesn’t get fulfilled through vibes. It gets fulfilled through follow-through. Through choosing the long game over the short-term dopamine hit. Through honoring commitments when no one is clapping. If you know Allah put something on your heart and you keep finding yourself stuck at the decision points where discipline is required, that’s coachable. If you want support strengthening that muscle for to have the discipline to follow through- Email [email protected] to book your free consultation call. Comments are closed.
