5/27/2025 Boundaries when the crash comesBoundaries are just healthy habits.
But for many of us, they feel harsh or even selfish. Why? Because we usually don’t think about boundaries until we’re drained, resentful, overextended—or just flat-out burned out. Suddenly, it feels like we have to set a boundary to survive 🛟 But what if boundaries weren’t this last-ditch effort? What if they were just… healthy habits we never learned? ☕ Choosing when to say yes 🧠 Trusting ourselves to follow through 🤍 Respecting our limits before we hit them And here’s the twist: So many of us need boundaries within ourselves just as much as with other people. The quiet kind that sound like: “I promised myself I’d workout today.” “I said I wouldn’t snap at her again.” “I know this conversation isn’t good for my heart.” In Islam, we are taught to take care of our inner self—with discipline and gentleness. Your time, your energy, your emotional well-being—these are trusts given to you by Allah. So no, boundaries aren’t rude. They are a form of self-respect. They are how we honor the trusts of our life. And if you’ve never had healthy habits like this before—whether with your family, at work, or even with yourself—it’s not too late to build them. If you’re curious what this could look like for you, I invite you to book a free consultation. Let’s talk about what honoring yourself—with softness and strength—could look like.
