Emotional Roller Coaster

One thing about living on purpose is that your emotions will not be consistent.

Your brain will take you on a whole ride 🎢 as you go after what actually matters to you.

Some days it feels like:
✨ excitement
✨ clarity
✨ motivation
✨ certainty
✨ gratitude

And other days it feels like:
😩 doubt
😩 resistance
😩 external circumstances
😩 fear
😩 shame

Both are normal.

👉 emotions are not instructions.
👉 discomfort doesn’t mean you’re off track.
👉 your job isn’t to feel amazing all the time, it’s to keep showing up.

Honestly, the most loving thing you can do for yourself is to stay disciplined with your purpose because you want the result.

Not because it feels good every day.
But because you decided this matters.

One tool I use with my clients:
They commit to 30 minutes a day toward their purpose. No negotiating.

One of my clients told me today:
She had a day where everything felt heavy. Zero motivation.
She set the timer ⏲️ anyway.
Did the 30 minutes.

When the timer went off she thought,
“Actually I can do a little more.”

She kept going for another 15 minutes.
And by the end? She felt rejuvenated. Energized. Back in belief.

That’s how it works.
Action creates emotion, not the other way around.

If you want 2026 to be different, not just something you hope for but something you intentionally create, I offer free consultations.

We’ll look at:
• what your purpose actually is right now
• where your brain is getting in the way
• how to build discipline without burning out

The gap between your soul and your brain is costing you

The gap between your brain and your soul stops you from getting what you want.

I just finished a consultation with a young woman who wants to become a lawyer.

She needs to take the LSAT.

But her brain keeps rushing her to take it before she’s ready.

The thought driving it?

“I’m probably not going to do well anyway, so I might as well get it over with.”

So I asked her:
If your brain has already decided you won’t do well, why take it at all?

Her answer was:

“Because I still want to be a lawyer.”

And right there, you see the gap.

Her soul knows where she’s headed.

Her brain is trying to protect her from emotional pain.

What we uncovered is something I see all the time in coaching.

Your brain would rather:
• sabotage the process
• rush the timing
• create imperfect conditions

So that if the result isn’t what you want, you can blame something else.

“See? I didn’t study long enough.”
“See? I rushed.”
“See? The circumstances weren’t right.”

Because the brain is terrified of this thought:

“What if I give it 100% and I still fail?”

To the brain, that feels like:
• I can’t handle this
• I’ll turn on myself
• I won’t know who I am anymore
• I’ll be back at zero

So it avoids that pain by never letting you fully try.

Your brain’s number one job is to avoid emotional discomfort, not to help you achieve your dreams.

This is why people unconsciously stay in almost, half-ready, one-foot-in energy.

But here’s the truth:

In both scenarios--
• rushing before you’re ready
• or avoiding full effort

You still don’t get the result you want.
And you’re still in emotional pain.

The difference?

One path builds self-trust.
The other slowly erodes it.

This is where faith changes everything.

Our job is ihsan, to give our best effort.
The outcome belongs to Allah.

When you truly have tawakkul:
• the result doesn’t define you
• failure doesn’t break you
• effort becomes an act of worship

You can give 100% because you trust that Allah decides the outcome and that whatever He decides, you will be carried through it.

But don’t let your brain be the reason you didn’t get the result.

This is exactly the work I do in coaching:
learning how to override a protective brain,
lead from your values, and move forward with both strategy and faith.

I’m offering free consultations in December
and starting my coaching container in January.

If you feel this gap between your brain and your soul, you don’t have to stay in this cycle.

Don't let your emotions run your life

I was coaching a client yesterday who’s running a big venture.

Team. Staff. Customers. Big impact.

And yet her biggest struggle right now isn’t strategy or systems.

It’s ego.

Not ego in a loud, arrogant way.
Ego in the self-centered way.

Her mood.
Her excitement levels.
Her internal energy dictating whether she shows up.

So I asked her a simple question:

“If you shut this down today, how would you feel a year from now?”

She didn’t hesitate.

“I’d be hiding under the covers in my bed.”

And then what?

“I’d feel horrible.”

And then what?

“I’d feel deep shame… because I shouldn’t have shut it down. Everything was going well. I should’ve kept going.”

That’s when it clicked.

She still believes in her mission.
She loves her team.
She cares deeply about the people she serves.
Her why is still alive.

The issue wasn’t lack of passion.
It was centering herself too much.

Your emotions don’t get to be the CEO of your business.

You don’t wait to feel motivated to take action.
You take clean, committed action because you decided this matters.

So instead of asking,
“Do I feel excited enough today?”

The work became:
✔️ Define what needs to get done weekly
✔️ Do it no matter the mood
✔️ Let the mission lead, not the moment

Because when the work is bigger than you, when people are relying on you, when the impact extends beyond your feelings, making it about yourself becomes a liability.

This client already sees this is a pattern for her.
Awareness is there.
Now the leadership muscle is being built.

If you’re building something meaningful and notice your emotions constantly threatening to derail it, this is the work I do with my clients.

✨ My coaching container is starts in January.
✨ I’m still offering free consultations this week

Your purpose deserves steadiness, not ego driven sabotage.

Give

I was coaching a client this week and one of her goals is simple (and very human):
she wants to make more money in her business.

What I didn’t let her do was sit in desperation.

You know that energy…
“I need this to work.”
“I need customers now.”
“I need money now.”

That energy feels urgent, but it actually shrinks our thinking.

So instead, we coached on a different question:

What’s one of the fastest, cleanest ways to make more money?

Give more.
Give more value.
Give more service.
Give in a way your business hasn’t before.

When we give for the sake of serving, Allah (SWT) multiplies the return.
Not always linearly. Often far beyond what we expect.

So we designed a way for her business to give back in a new, meaningful way.

And almost immediately, her energy shifted:
• from desperate → grounded
• from grasping → generous
• from anxious → excited to serve

That’s the energy that attracts growth.
That’s the energy that opens doors.
That’s what sends more your way.

If you want to grow your income without living in pressure or panic, you can coach your brain to get there.

Self trust

Most money objections aren’t actually about money.

They’re about ownership.

Coaching works when the person who wants the result is the same person who chooses the investment.

Because money in coaching isn’t just payment,
it’s an exchange for commitment, self-leadership, and responsibility.

When someone needs approval to invest in themselves, it doesn’t mean they don’t want the change. It means they’re not fully in the driver’s seat yet.

And without that ownership, the transformation can’t stick.

This is why:
• Outsourced decisions lead to outsourced effort
• External permission weakens internal commitment
• And “I’ll do it if someone else pays” rarely creates lasting results

Real change begins when you decide you’re worth investing in without needing someone else to validate it first.

Money isn’t the barrier. Self-trust is.

And when those two finally align, the money objection disappears.

✨ If you’re ready to make decisions from ownership instead of permission,
my coaching container begins in January.

I’m offering free consultations in December to see if it’s the right fit.

It's inevitable

One of the most important beliefs you must hold about what you want is this:

It’s done. It’s happening.

Not “if this works.”
Not “maybe one day.”
Not “let’s see what happens.”

Because when your dominant belief is if, you create if-level results.

Half-commitment.
Hesitation.
Starting and stopping.
Waiting for proof before you move.

But when your belief shifts to “this is done”, something powerful happens.

You start creating results that move you closer and closer to the outcome even before it fully materializes.

Your results don’t come from effort alone.
They come from the belief you’re operating from while taking that effort.

But belief is not static.

Your belief will go up and down. That’s normal. Human. Expected.

The work isn’t to never doubt.
The work is to notice when your belief drops and intentionally coach your brain back into belief, again and again and again.

Every time you recommit mentally, you get back into alignment with the version of you who already has the result.

And that is how goals become inevitable.

If you want support learning how to:
• Catch yourself when your brain slips into “if”
• Re-anchor into “this is happening”
• Take action from certainty instead of fear
• And create results that actually compound

My January coaching container is starting soon.

I’m offering free consultations through the end of December for those who want to step into the new year with clarity, conviction and momentum.

Brain panic

I was coaching a client yesterday and we’re working on helping her figure out her purpose.

As soon as we started shaping a theory of what might work for her, not even a plan, just an idea, her brain immediately went into fight or flight.

Suddenly it was:
• What if this doesn’t work?
• What if I’m not good at it?
• What if I waste time, money, or energy?
• What if this is the wrong path?

Mind you we are purely in the ideation stage.

No decisions.
No commitments.
No action.

So I slowed everything down and showed her what was actually happening.

Her brain wasn’t being dramatic.
It wasn’t being negative.
It was being normal.

Every brain reacts to something new and unfamiliar with fear.
Because your brain’s job is not to help you grow, expand, or succeed.

Its job is to keep you safe.

And anything unfamiliar automatically gets labeled as dangerous ⚠️

Once she understood that this reaction wasn’t a red flag about the idea, but just her brain doing its job, we coached the brain, not the idea.

I reminded her:
You haven’t even finished the purpose program yet.
We’re not taking action.
You’re not choosing anything.
You are safe.

When her nervous system settled, something interesting happened.

She realized she actually felt intrigued.
A little shocked.
Because this idea was so new, something she had never considered before.

And that’s exactly where we want to be.

So for homework?
No pressure.
No hustle.
No forcing clarity.

She’s:
✨ Continuing through the pre-recorded videos and worksheets in my purpose program
✨ Listening to an audiobook I recommended for this exact moment
✨ Looking through a few resources I sent her

Her only job is to:
Wonder.
Daydream.
Think.

That’s it.

And she left the session feeling excited, not overwhelmed, and willing to keep walking forward toward figuring out what she wants to do with her life.

This is what coaching looks like when you don’t override your brain, you understand it.

If you’re in that place where you know you want more, but your brain keeps pulling you into fear and worst-case scenarios, you don’t need to push harder.

You need support.

Treat your venture like a baby

When you’re starting something new, you have to treat it like a baby.

You nurture it.
You pour into it.
You protect it.
And you do not expect it to perform like a full-grown adult.

When a baby claps for the first time or rolls over, it’s a HUGE deal.
You don’t say, “Well why aren’t they walking yet?”

You celebrate what just happened.

I’m coaching a client through her very first launch ever.

She had a goal in mind.
She hit half of it.

And her brain immediately went to:
“Yeah it’s good, but not great.”

She was completely wrong.

This was her FIRST launch. Ever.
She tested a theory and it worked.
She made money.
She had people say YES.

Not friends.
Not family.
20 strangers looked at what she created and said:
“I want this experience.”

That is massive.

Now the work is:
✨ Deliver an incredible experience
✨ Build trust
✨ Let those people talk about it
✨ Analyze what to tweak next time
✨ Expand reach
✨ Repeat

Because business doesn’t end with one launch.
It keeps going.

Every round is either winning or learning, never failing.

Without coaching, she would’ve diluted this win, spiraled into self-doubt and possibly never launched again.

And that would’ve been tragic because she’s clearly onto something.

This is exactly why coaching matters.

Your brain has a negativity bias.
It tells your story in a way that feels true, but quietly sabotages your growth.

Coaching keeps you grounded in reality, momentum and self-trust.

What if you're wrong?

One of the most powerful things you can offer your brain is this question:

“What if I’m wrong?”

My brain loves being right.
It always has.

I’ll give you an example of this from my own experience. When I was transitioning from being an attorney to becoming a coach, my brain had a LOT to say.

Law was familiar.
I had studied it.
I had succeeded at it.
I knew the rules.

Coaching, on the other hand, was completely entrepreneurial.
No roadmap.
No guarantees.
A total identity shift.

It felt unfamiliar.
And unfamiliar felt scary.

My brain kept offering:
Law is easier.
You’ve already proven yourself there.
Why would you leave something you’re good at?

And then I asked a question that changed everything:

What if I’m wrong?

What if coaching is actually easier than law?
What if it’s easier to get clients than I think?
What if the journey ends up being far more enjoyable?

I knew coaching is more aligned with my purpose and therefore a better use of my time and energy, so I knew it was worth it to give this a chance.

When I showed my brain that I was willing to be wrong and that being wrong was safe, I felt my mind open up.

I wasn’t forcing belief.
I was allowing possibility.
It ended up being true.

This is one of my favorite shifts to use with my clients.

Because one of the main ways our brains keep us stuck is by being obsessed with being right.

When you consciously say:
“What if I’m wrong and that would actually be okay, or even better?”

Your brain finally has permission to consider change.

And that’s the whole point.

We want different results than the ones we currently have.
And different results require change.

If this resonates and you’re ready to explore what might be possible for you, my coaching container begins this January.

You don’t need certainty to start.
Just a willingness to ask: What if I’m wrong?

Your brain is not designed to be successful

Most people think their brain is designed to help them succeed.

That if they want something badly enough,
if they care enough,
if they think about it long enough
they’ll eventually figure it out.

But that’s not how the brain actually works.

Your brain is designed for safety, not success.

Its primary job is to:
• keep things familiar
• avoid uncertainty
• conserve energy
• protect you from emotional risk

Which means any time you want something new, a new level of fulfillment, income, confidence, clarity, impact, your brain’s job is to push back.

It does this by offering very convincing thoughts:
“Who am I to do this?”
“This would never work.”
“I don’t want to make the wrong decision.”
“I just need more time / clarity / information.”
“Maybe this isn’t meant for me.”
“I don’t want to waste my time, energy and money.”

So you want the result.
You desire it deeply.
You care.

And yet you stay stuck.

Not because you’re unmotivated.
Not because you lack discipline.
Not because you’re doing it wrong.

But because you’re trying to use a safety-oriented brain to create growth-oriented results on your own, from inside the very mind that’s keeping you where you are.

This is the gap.

Desire on one side.
Results on the other.

And willpower doesn’t bridge it.

Coaching does.

Coaching teaches you how to:
• see what your brain is doing in real time
• stop confusing fear with truth
• build self-trust instead of spinning in indecision
• take aligned action with your brain instead of fighting it

That’s how results are created, calmly, sustainably and intentionally.

My coaching container starts in January.
Free consultations are open now.

This is your sign to stop trying to figure it out alone.
