When Growth Happens in Silence

Not all growth is visible. Some of the most profound transformations happen when no one else can see them—when you’re deep in the work, stretching yourself beyond your old limitations, and shifting how you see yourself and what you’re capable of.

I’ve gone through these “cocoon phases” multiple times in my life:

• 🏫 Senior year of high school – I had already secured my college acceptance early, so I focused on stretching myself beyond academics, becoming more outgoing and engaged.
• 📚 College in three years instead of four – That “extra fourth year” became another cocoon phase, a time to explore, learn, and figure out my next steps.
• ⚖️ After law school – Instead of rushing into work, I took a few months to travel, reflect, and expand my understanding of myself and the world.

Each time, it felt like I was retreating from the world—but in reality, I was doing some of the hardest, deepest work of my life. I was redefining who I was, increasing my capacity for what was possible, and preparing for my next chapter.

These phases scare people. They worry they’re not “doing enough.” But every single time, I emerged with new energy, new clarity, and a new direction that wouldn’t have been possible without that period of deep work.

Your cocoon phase is hard, but it’s not stagnant. It’s preparing you for something greater. Don’t fight it—lean into it.

If you’re in a cocoon phase right now and trying to figure out your next steps, I’d love to help. Book a free consultation, and let’s explore what’s possible for you.

Eid Mubarak

Eid Mubarak!

As we step into this day of joy and gratitude, I want to take a moment to reflect on something truly powerful—the act of celebrating.

The growth you are doing within yourself, or the growth you want to do, is much like an iceberg submerged beneath the water. So much is happening beneath the surface—shifts in your mindset, your habits, your self-belief—but it’s not always obvious right away. Yet, with time and persistence, that iceberg starts to emerge.

One day, you’ll look back and realize: I am not the same person I was six months ago. I have transformed for the better.

On a larger scale, we see this happening in the world, too. Right now, so many people are doing the deep, difficult work toward justice—not just for Palestine, but for the liberation of all people from oppression. The results may not be fully visible yet, but the iceberg is shifting. And in time, it will break through the surface.

This is why we celebrate.

Because when we pause to acknowledge growth—both within us and around us—it fuels us to keep going. It solidifies our progress, helps us register our wins, and keeps us on course for even greater transformation.

So today, celebrate.

Celebrate the work you’ve done, the person you’re becoming, and the change happening in the world. And then—keep growing. Keep striving. Keep doing the inner work that will eventually reveal something magnificent.

If you’re ready to take that next step in your journey, I’d love to support you. My coaching is designed to help you unlock your full potential, align with your purpose, and create lasting change. If that speaks to you, email me and let's schedule your free consultation.

Wishing you a blessed Eid filled with joy, reflection, and renewal.

Ramadan Day 29: The Power of Recognizing the Whisper

As Ramadan nears its end, we reflect on a powerful reality: during this month, the devils are chained—yet negative thoughts, self-doubt, and limiting beliefs still creep in.

Why?

Because Shaytan doesn’t just whisper in the moment—he trains our minds to whisper to ourselves.

Surah An-Nas (Ayah 4-5) warns us about the “whisperer who withdraws”—Shaytan plants the seeds of doubt and negativity, then steps back, letting our own minds repeat his whispers long after he’s gone.

One of the most insidious forms of these whispers isn’t just about sin—it’s about keeping us small:

❌ Who do you think you are?
❌ That will never work.
❌ You can never do that.
❌ Maybe someone else, but not you.

Because when we dream, strive, and step into our full potential, we do more good in the world—we serve Allah, uplift others, and become the strong believers He loves. And Shaytan doesn’t want that.

So as Ramadan comes to a close, let’s start catching these whispers. Recognizing them. Challenging them. Because they’re not just self-doubt—they’re designed to hold us back from fulfilling our purpose.

Your full potential is meant to contribute to a better world 🌎

Don’t let a whisper keep you from stepping into it.

Email me to book your free consultation if you are ready to not let anything hold you back ✨

Ramadan Day 28: The Power of True Reliance

“And He will provide for him from sources he could never imagine. And whoever puts their trust in Allah, He will be enough for them.” (Surah At-Talaq 65:3)

When I first decided I wanted to be a coach, my brain 🧠 immediately went into overdrive.

Where would I get clients?
Would this even work?
How would I make it happen?

It was overwhelming—until I took a breath and reminded myself why I was doing this.

My mission wasn’t just about building a business; it was about serving Allah (SWT) by helping Muslim women step into their full potential—because when they do, they create more good in this world.

So I made a decision: I would show up every day, put in my effort, and leave the results to Allah. And SubhanAllah, clients started coming from places I never expected, in ways I never imagined.

This ayah is a reminder that our job is not to figure out how everything will work out. Our job is to take action, trust in Allah’s plan, and let Him open doors 🚪 we never even knew existed.

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to step into your potential, this is your sign 🪧

Take action, trust the process, and let Allah handle the rest.

Email me to book your free consultation if you are ready to stop overthinking and start moving forward ➡️ with clarity and confidence.

Ramadan Day 27: The Power of Calling Upon Allah

“So he called out to his Lord, ‘Indeed, I am overpowered, so help me!’” (Surah Al-Qamar 54:10)

There are times when we feel completely overpowered.

Right now, we see this on a macro level.

The struggle in Palestine, the challenges facing the Ummah, the injustice across the world—it feels like an unbearable weight.

But history has shown us that when oppression reaches its peak, the greatest power is in calling upon Allah.

This is exactly what Nuh (AS) did. He was overpowered, exhausted, seemingly alone—so he turned to Allah. And when he did, everything changed.

The macro always reflects the micro.

What is happening in the world is a reflection of struggles within us.

If our Ummah is calling out to Allah, it’s time to ask: What in your own life feels like defeat? Where do you feel stuck, powerless, or unsure of the way forward?

Ramadan is the time to return to Allah, to call upon Him, and to take action in our own lives—because transformation starts within.

Ramadan Day 26: The Power of Knowing Yourself

“We have certainly created man, and We know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein.” (Quran 50:16)

Allah (SWT) knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows our fears, our doubts, our desires—even the ones we don’t say out loud. And yet, so many of us struggle to understand what we truly want in life.

We second-guess ourselves. We feel stuck. We wonder if we’re on the right path.

Have you ever had a moment where you felt drawn to something—an idea 💡 a dream, a change—but almost immediately, the doubts crept in?

What if it’s the wrong choice? What if I fail? What if I’m not good enough?

But what if you could truly know yourself? What if you could quiet the noise, understand your purpose, and move forward with confidence?

You don’t have to struggle to figure this out alone.

There is a toolkit 🧰 to help you. A coaching container helps you uncover the whispers of your soul, align your actions with your values, and step into the person you’re meant to be.

Are you living with intention?

Do you feel connected to your purpose?

Ramadan Day 25: The Power of Desire

I once met someone who proudly said, “I do what feels right to me, and that’s all that matters.” Any suggestion that there might be a greater truth beyond personal feelings was dismissed. “Who’s to say what’s right or wrong? It’s all about what works for you.”

This mindset is everywhere today. We’re constantly told to follow our hearts 💞 trust our feelings, and even define truth for ourselves. But what happens when our desires become the ultimate authority in our lives?

Allah (SWT) warns us of this in Surah Al-Jathiyah (45:23):

“Have you seen the one who takes his own desire as his god? And Allah left him astray knowingly, sealed his hearing and heart, and placed a cover on his sight. Who then can guide him after Allah? Will you not take heed?”

This isn’t to say we shouldn’t check in with ourselves, reflect on our path, or seek what aligns with us personally. But when we do that without the parameters of Allah’s guidance, that’s when it goes astray. When we seek what is good for us within the framework of His wisdom, that’s when it’s done right.

Truth isn’t something we invent—it exists whether we like it or not. The real test is whether we seek it sincerely or let our desires lead the way.

As Ramadan comes to an end, it’s a powerful time to reflect: Where in my life am I following what feels good over what is good?

Ramadan Day 24: The Power of Personal Accountability

“Whoever does righteousness—it is for his own soul; and whoever does evil—it is against it. And your Lord is not ever unjust to [His] servants.”
— Surah Fussilat (41:46)

One of the most empowering realizations we can have is that our actions, choices, and mindset shape our reality. This ayah reminds us that the good we do benefits us first and foremost, and any harm we bring is to ourselves.

When I became a mother, it was such an all-consuming role—like no other. In those early baby years, I felt like I couldn’t do anything outside of caring for my kids. Every part of me was poured into them, and I didn’t even consider the possibility of carving out time for myself.

Then one day, I realized: I could find 30 minutes to an hour every day, no matter what, to do something non-baby related—something just for me. So I did. It gave me both relief and a boost at the same time. Just that little bit of time to recharge made me feel like myself again.

But accountability wasn’t just about what I added to my life—it was also about what I removed.

I became very minimal with my energy. I didn’t stretch myself beyond my capacity. There were no fancy dinners being cooked. I didn’t attend social gatherings that felt like a hassle, stress, or drain on my energy. I cut out anything that didn’t serve me in that phase and kept the focus on what truly mattered: taking care of my kids and finding the time to take care of myself. And because I made that choice for myself, I eliminated so much unnecessary pressure.

Personal accountability isn’t about blame—it’s about recognizing that we get to decide what to prioritize, where to place our energy, and what to let go of. It’s about making intentional choices that support us instead of drain us.

Ramadan Day 23: The Power of Focused Duaa

In Surah Sad (38:35), Prophet Sulaiman (AS) makes a remarkable dua:

“He said, ‘My Lord, forgive me and grant me a kingdom the like of which will never be given to anyone after me. Indeed, You are the Bestower.’”

This ayah teaches us so much about the power of bold, focused supplication.

Sulaiman (AS) didn’t just ask for any kingdom—he asked for one unparalleled in history. And Allah granted it to him.

Many of us hold back in our duaas 🤲🏽

We hesitate to ask for big things, thinking we don’t deserve them or that they’re too much. But this ayah reminds us: If Allah can grant a kingdom beyond imagination, what makes us think our dreams are too big?

This Ramadan, ask yourself:

➡️ Are my duas reflecting my true desires, or am I playing small?
➡️ Am I asking with full certainty that Allah can grant anything?
➡️ What’s the ‘unparalleled kingdom’ I’m seeking in my life?

If you’re feeling stuck, unsure of what to ask for, or afraid to dream bigger, reflect on that and really challenge yourself to articulate the block inside of you.

What’s one dua you’ve been holding back from asking?

Email me to book your free consultation call today and take the first step into the future Allah can bestow for you.

Ramadan Day 22: The Power of Conviction

Surah Yaseen begins with Allah affirming the truth of the message revealed to the Prophet ﷺ, highlighting the fate of those who reject guidance and the unwavering faith of those who embrace it.

In Ayahs 13-27, we hear the story of a man who ran from the farthest part of the city, urging his people to follow the messengers. Despite their rejection, he remained steadfast in his belief, and Allah rewarded him with Jannah.

What strikes me is his conviction—he saw the truth and acted on it, even when it was hard. He didn’t wait for approval or for the circumstances to be perfect. He stepped forward with courage, trusting that Allah’s promise was greater than his fears.

Conviction is what keeps us going when things don’t work immediately.

Imagine committing to a goal and telling yourself, “I will keep working on this until it works.” That mindset forces your brain 🧠 to keep finding solutions.

But if you say, “I’ll try this for a year or two, and if it doesn’t work, I’ll quit,” your brain won’t be fully engaged—it knows there’s an exit.

True success comes from that unwavering commitment to keep going.

How often do we hesitate when we know what we need to do?

Whether it’s making a difficult decision, pursuing a dream, or stepping into a new version of ourselves, we get caught up in self-doubt, overthinking, and the fear of what others will say.

But conviction—rooted in faith—gives us the strength to move forward.

If you’re struggling with indecision or feeling stuck in your personal growth, I’m offering free consultations to help you gain clarity and take action.
